Neurodiversity Collaborative

A shareable hub for neurodivergent students, allies, educators, and advocates to find community, specialized tools, research projects, and trusted support pathways.

Featured Community

CUNY SPS Neurodiversity Alliance

A developing student-centered community for neurodiversity, disability inclusion, accessibility, belonging, self-advocacy, inclusive technology, and peer connection across the CUNY School of Professional Studies.

The Alliance welcomes neurodivergent and disabled students, students exploring identity or access needs, allies, caregivers, advocates, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the wider CUNY community.

Shared Commitments

Designed around choice, dignity, and participation.

01

Nothing about us without us

Neurodivergent people help shape the questions, resources, programs, and measures of success.

02

More than one way

Text, voice, visual, asynchronous, quiet, and paced options support different ways of participating.

03

Privacy and control

People decide what to disclose. Public prototypes should be tested with fictional, non-sensitive information.

04

Technology with people

Tools can reduce friction and support preparation, but human relationships and qualified professionals remain essential.

Specialized Apps & Tools

Explore, test, and discuss.

These independent projects support learning, communication, executive functioning, advocacy, and inclusive participation. Prototypes are educational resources—not diagnostic, clinical, legal, or accommodation decision-making services.

Official CUNY Pathways

Know where community ends and official support begins.

The Collaborative and Alliance can share ideas, peer connection, and preparation resources. CUNY and CUNY SPS offices remain responsible for official policies, services, accommodations, and decisions.

Build With Us

Bring an idea, resource, or lived experience.

The Collaborative can grow through student-led events, peer circles, accessibility reviews, tool demonstrations, research conversations, newsletters, guest speakers, and cross-campus partnerships.
